character%of%the%brand%is%an%animatic%lion character%called%‘’Aslan%Max’’.%
Aslan%Max%is%known%as%an%adventurous,%streetGsmart%kid%who%is%loved%by%all%
kids.
Lowe%Istanbul,%has%produced%the%first%stereoscopic%kid%ad which is being aired%
with%Cars%2 movie.%

has been!aired!during!3D!Cars!2!movie!all!around!Turkey.!For!the!commercial,!new!image!
technologies!was used and!thisthe!first!stereoscopic!ad in!Turkey.!
The!film wasshotin!South!Africa,!Cape!Town.!In!order!to!obtain!real!depth!effect!in!the!film,!German
director!of!cinematography Thomas!Stokowski,!stereographer!Christian!Meyer!and!director!Mehmet!
Kurtuluş!collaborated.!
The!film!had a!lot!of!action!scenes!and!wasshot in!three!days!with!stereoscopic!camera!equipment.!
The!film!went!through!a!thorough!editing!process!to!reach!its!final!real!and!colorful!animation!&!3D!
effects.!
What%is%stereoscopic%image?
Each!eye!observesthe!image!from!different!angles,!a!human!can!perceive!up!to!100!meters!distance.!
The!brain!connects!every!signals!coming! from!both!eyes!so! that!it!makes! the!image! to!gain!depth.!
When!the images in! photographs! and! films! are!seen from! a! single! point! of! view,! they! lost! depth!
therefore!they!lost!theirthird!dimension.!On!the!other!hand; in!the stereoscopic!imagesthat!are!shot
by! two! specific! cameras,!viewers! can! perceive! the!depth! and! third! dimension.! These! cameras!are!
sized!of!6.35!cm!which is!equal!to!two human!eyes’!width.!In!this!way, both!eyes!observe!the!image!
from!their!exact!angles.!
